Dennis is a Chartered Financial Planner whose career spans 35 years, mostly in Central London. After working for larger organisations (including a spell in Moscow) he founded Yellowtail in 2006 and later relocated the office to Exeter.
Dennis’s particular expertise lies in Lifestyle Financial Planning, helping busy successful people transition from working for a living, to financial independence, allowing them to choose whether they work, retire, or something in-between.
Dennis regularly writes for the trade press and for the finance sections of national newspapers and also written a book on getting your financial affairs in order called ‘Who Will it Hurt When I Die’
Sarah joined Yellowtail in 2017 having worked previously at Coutts Bank in Central London. Her role focused on clients in the sports and entertainment industry and, more recently, in private healthcare. It was here she gained valuable insights into the specific financial planning needs of our doctor and dentist clients.
In 2022 Sarah became our second Director and now looks after all non-regulated aspects of the business. Working closely with our team and clients, Sarah ensures we are continually moving in the right direction.
Mushtaq has been an integral part of the Yellowtail team since 2006 and has over 15 years’ specific experience working with dentists and doctors. He fully understands the complexities of the NHS pension scheme and will also advise on private pension arrangements used for practice property purchase.
Mushtaq takes time to build strong relationships with our clients, evaluating their current financial position and recommending strategies for investment management, tax planning, estate planning and risk management. Regular reviews enable him to monitor progress towards meeting individual financial goals.
Christian arrived at financial planning through a route that involved a degree in Physics, working in capital markets for a major European bank, and teaching secondary science.
Christian is deeply involved in producing planning reports which show our clients how to meet their goals, and how our recommendations will support that journey. He makes sure all the details of our advice are covered in the background and helps keep everyone’s portfolios running smoothly. All of which reflects his belief in the value of thorough analysis and ensuring a deep understanding, for both ourselves and for our clients.
Aki has worked with the Yellowtail team for more than 15 years. Her highly organised approach towards the day-to-day running of the office, as well as overseeing financial and budgeting matters, ensures everything runs smoothly.
Aki spent 18 years working in London’s financial sector as tax manager at one of the Big Four accountancy firms, and as an Administration Manager for Nomura’s London office. She acquired experience in corporate administration and learned the importance of good communication. All which now serve her well at Yellowtail.
Clare joined us in 2020 bringing with her a wealth of knowledge from her 30 years’ experience in financial services. Clare has worked for small independent firms and larger corporate organisations covering roles including PA, Paraplanner, Adviser and now Office Manager, so she is in a fantastic position to support both our team and our clients.
Clare has played a central role in establishing our CRM system and streamlining our processes alongside ensuring we have a positive, team approach to our working week.
